January & February. Peak summer: hot, dry days, the most swimmable sea, and the village at its liveliest. Book well ahead and expect company on the beach.

March & April. Our quiet favourite. The heat softens, winds ease and crowds thin, but the sea is still warm. Beautiful light, and a lovely time for a spa and wellness escape.

May. The shoulder into winter: mild days, cool evenings and some of the best room rates of the year.
